Road Sentinel is designed to create records tied to place and time without adding names, face matches, or plate numbers. That is a data-design choice, not a claim that a camera can never show a person or vehicle.
A separate short video window may exist for an approved use. Its access and retention belong in the contract. Structured movement records remain the core product, and they are designed without a person-identity field.
No plate reading
Road Sentinel does not read plate characters. The structured record has no plate-number field or plate index.
No face reading
Road Sentinel does not recognize faces. The structured record has no face match, gallery, or watch list.
A number, not a name
A temporary object number can connect observations while Road Sentinel maintains a continuous view. It is stored with place and time, without a name, face match, or plate number.
A structured observation can include place, time, speed, direction, movement, road-user class, nearby movement, coverage, and source. A temporary object number can connect observations while the system maintains a continuous view. It is not a name or identity index.
Final sensor selection remains part of field validation. The production data schema and retention terms will state what each sensor produces and what is stored.
Every data request goes in the public log.
The log records who asked, what they requested, and the outcome. The release process requires two people, and one person cannot approve both steps.
